Teaching M08: Bodhrán, Intermediate, M20: Bodhran, Advanced, and W01: Bodhrán Workshop (Irish Frame Drum) (Friday only)
Dominic Keogh is a Bodhran player from Kilmovee, in East Mayo, an area with a long and rich history of Traditional music. Originally taught by the great Sligo Bodhran player Junior Davey, Dominic spent many years playing in the vibrant local sessions, before moving to the traditional music mecca of Galway city, taking inspiration from great Bodhran players such as Johnny McDonagh, and Paddy Kerr. It was this energetic session scene that led Dominic to become a founding member of the band Mórga in 2009, releasing 2 albums and touring throughout Europe, Ireland and America. In 2011 Dominic became the Bodhran player for The Niamh ni Charra band and still plays extensively with them, touring far flung, exotic places such as India, China, Canada, and Kerry.
