Deborah Hyland has called and taught dance to a wide range of audiences in the St. Louis area and beyond since 1991. Besides appearing regularly at dances in St. Louis Deborah has headlined at dance weekends, folk festivals, and local dances throughout the Midwest and East Coast. An English professor at St. Louis Community College, Deborah has also taught Civil War Regency and Colonial-era dancing at a number of reenactments balls and battles in Ohio Illinois Kansas Missouri Indiana. Her literary research focuses on nineteenth-century British authors, particularly Lewis Carroll and the Arthurian Revival.
