Teaching Genealogy Workshop (Friday only)
Dave has been researching family histories, including his own, for over 40 years. Dave worked for almost 45 years in radio and television and retired in July of 2019. He grew up near Chicago, Illinois and now lives in Green Bay, Wisconsin and has family who live in and around Mid Ulster. Dave holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from MacMurray College in Jacksonville, Illinois, a Master of Arts Degree from The University of Illinois, Springfield and a Professional Learning Certificate of Genealogical Studies in Irish records from the National Institute for Genealogical Studies in Ontario, Canada. In addition to his membership with the Irish Genealogical Society International, Dave currently serves on the IGSI board and records a monthly podcast for the IGSI. He has appeared as a guest historian in three episodes of the Dead Files on the Travel Channel and has authored articles on many genealogy topics and speaks to groups on genealogy here in the U.S. and recently in Northern Ireland. His presentation topics are especially centered on Irish Research for North Americans. In addition to researching family history for clients, he has recently conducted a family research project in a probate case.
